Sun, 2/25 @ 9am SOLD OUT You will learn the basics of Metal Inert Gas (MIG) welding in this make-and-take class to create your very own metal bird out of common kitchen utensils. Topics covered include welding safety, equipment, processes, and basic metallurgical properties.
You will learn the basics of Metal Inert Gas (MIG) welding in this make-and-take class to create your very own metal dragonfly out of common kitchen utensils. Topics covered include welding safety, equipment, processes, and basic metallurgical properties.
You and your child will learn the fundamentals and safety associated with MIG welding, practice welding, and take home a welded sculpture that you make together.
Intermediate Welding: Create your own Project - By Appointment Only
For those who have taken the intro welding class and ready for the next step! Bring your own vision and materials to weld something of your design. Maybe you have an old iron patio chair that you want to repair. Perhaps you have some scrap steel to convert into a garden sculpture to accompany your bird or dragonfly!
In this 2-part class, students will learn about species of woods to use for food safe projects, how to join pieces of wood, and different oils for sealing them.
