Manor Mill has a new ceramics studio with tables for hand building, 7 wheels, and 2 electric kilns. Small classes and open studio hours are available, and we are actively adding classes with local professional instructors to teach classes at all levels, as well as individual "Try-It" and “Date Night” workshops. Manor Mill also features some of the most talented ceramicists in the region as part of its retail gallery and fine arts space, with the aim to connect people new ceramics with seasoned artists who have mastered their craft.

Meet the Ceramists at Manor Mill
Lindsay Hitch
Lindsay Hitch is a ceramic artist that creates whimsical and functional pottery. Her work is full of bright colors, bold patterns and fun illustrations. She earned her BFA from Towson University and now spends her time making with clay, teaching about clay, and selling clay - you may know her from Clayworks Supplies. Lindsay loves any craft that she can get her hands on, but it's safe to say that ceramics is her passion.

Shea Kister
Shea Kister is a ceramicist and interdisciplinary artist originally from Omaha, Nebraska. She received her BFA in 2017 from the University of South Dakota and has recently received her MFA from Kansas State University in 2022. Inspired by her study of trauma’s effects on memory as well as personal and social relationships, her work enlists notions of fragmentation, discontinuity, memory distortion, and dissociation through the use of scale, surface application, and materials. Her work has been shown in numerous exhibitions across the United States, most recently in Illinois, Montana, Kansas, Washington, and Maryland. She is currently a long-term resident with Baltimore Clayworks in Baltimore, Maryland.

Brad Blair
Brad Blair is an artist, educator and gallery curator living in Baltimore, Maryland. In 2014, he earned an M.F.A. degree from Florida State University (FSU) focusing on ceramics and sculpture. Prior to FSU, he graduated from Towson University in with a B.S. degree, majoring in Art & Design. Aside from making artwork and exhibiting it locally and nationally, Blair is also an adjunct professor at Towson University, and both a ceramics instructor and gallery curator here at Manor Mill. Using his sense of creativity, imagination, skills, and patience, Brad will help you find your way in clay!

Teresa Stecher
Teresa Stecher is a maker of handcrafted pottery.
Born in California, she’s been living in Northern Baltimore County since 2016. Aside from a recent two year adventure living and doing pottery in Hawaii, she has practiced her craft in a barn on her property, listening to the river and trying to acclimate to the seasons. She enjoys adding a variety of surface decoration to her work and is inspired by all the places she’s lived. The city, the ocean, and the rural landscapes of Maryland all find a place in her work.
She is the Ceramics Studio Manager here at Manor Mill where she teaches classes and sells handmade work in the gallery.

Stephanie Imbierowicz
Stephanie recently received a Bachelor’s degree in Fine Art from Salisbury University with a concentration in ceramics. While at university she excelled at her craft, placing first in her senior exhibition. She enjoys creating expressive sculptural work that explores the sub conscious mind, using androgynous characters that unravel their stories to the viewer through unique, relatable personal narrative.
Stephanie strives to create a fun and safe classroom environment for students of all ages to feel comfortable expressing themselves and their innermost creativity through the highly-versatile medium of clay.

Tina Haines
Tina Haines is a multidisciplinary artist and educator based in Phoenix, MD. She specializes in ceramic home goods and sculptures. Haines graduated from the Maryland Institute College of Art with a degree in Sculpture; where she focused on Ceramics and Community Arts. In addition to hosting workshops out of her studio, she has taught at Baltimore Clayworks, Chesapeake Arts Center, and Phillips Programs. Follow along with her artwork and flower gardening below.
