Robert (Bob) L Dale

Robert (Bob) Dale spent his professional career as a highly respected teacher of art, first at Baltimore's acclaimed City College, later at MICA, and concluding with 20-plus years at Catonsville Community College, where he taught 2D Design. He also served as the college's Gallery Director

Dale's keen imagination and extraordinary color sense show throughout his long career, as well as his experiments with texture and broad-brush strokes evident in his later work. He was very interested in positive/negative light and how they interacted with one another. His media ranged from silk screen to oils and sculpture.

Twentieth-century modernists whom he admired include Morris Louis, David Kockney, Mark Rothko, and M.C. Escher.
